American-hybrid grape (Mills x Ontario), bred in 1923 at Cornell University's Vine Breeding Institute in Geneva, NY - despite the Texas-sounding name, no evidence ties it to a Texas breeding origin, T.V. Munson, or Texas-specific adaptation; it's a Cornell heritage variety, same lineage family as Lakemont/Glenora/Vanessa's breeding cousins. Genuinely obscure in current commercial nursery trade - mostly found through specialty/heritage nurseries and reference databases (VIVC) rather than mainstream retailers. Zones 5-8. No Pierce's Disease or general fungal disease resistance data found from any source, and it's not on Texas A&M AgriLife's PD-tolerant list.
