Notes: European prune plum (Prunus domestica) from Geneva, NY (Cornell/NYSAES), 1926. Chill requirement ~700 hours is notably high for zone 8a - worth double-checking local chill-hour averages for Oak Point before committing, since Stanley is bred for cooler climates. Prone to split-pit and black knot; susceptible to aphids; blossoms vulnerable to late spring frost. Not the same variety as Stark Bro's "Starking Delicious" plum, despite the similar name.
