Purple skin with noticeable lenticels; softer/more traditional muscadine texture than Supreme or Lane; low incidence of scar damage; long pedicel lets pickers pull berries without squeezing (fewer splits/tears)

Ripening window

Mid-to-late season (~Aug 20 in Tifton, GA - a few days behind Fry and Supreme)

Best uses

Considered the go-to variety for main-season purple fresh-market fruit; good for home eating too

Pollination

Self-fertile (hermaphroditic) - no pollinator needed; consistent pollination gives 3-4 seeds and reliably large berries

Tree size

Vigorous vine (very good, consistent yields)

UGA-released 2017 (Supreme x Tara cross, selected 2009); named for Jacob Paulk of Paulk Vineyards. Low berry rot. Available through Ison's Nursery and Bottom's Nursery.
